Business Buzz: Palasad partners with new escape room

Escapology, London's newest escape room attraction, recently opened its doors and will soon become part of a major revamp of Palasad North.

Escapology, London’s newest escape room attraction, recently opened its doors and will soon become part of a major revamp of Palasad North.

Escapology is located at 604 Oxford St. E., (at Adelaide Street) and has five themed escape rooms featuring the latest video and mechanical technology to enhance the escape experience.

Escapology (www.escapology.com/en/london-canada/) held a soft opening earlier this month and is operated by staff from Palasad North, which is temporarily closed for a major renovation.

When Palasad North reopens in late October, patrons will have a direct entrance into Escapology.

“It’s a new amenity for the Palasad but has a separate storefront and operates as its own business,” said Martyn Novak, marketing and communication manager for Escapology and Palasad North and South locations.

Novak said the connection to the Palasad will give Escapology a wider appeal and will be included in entertainment/dining packages.

“We are an all-in-one solution. You can eat, drink and play an escape game,” he said.

Novak said the escape rooms feature video clues, hidden doors and other high-tech gadgetry.

With the addition of Escapology and extensive renovations, Novak said Palasad North will be more upscale and distinct from the Palasad South site, which will remain focused on family fun.

“The esthetic of the entire building will be different. We are looking for a more elevated experience as a social/entertainment centre for millenials and young professionals,” said Novak.
