KIDS MODE is a place where children command the space, learning and growing together through teamwork, problem-solving, and communication. Young detectives immerse themselves in engaging narratives, turning puzzles into learning adventures and using critical thinking to crack the clues. With their detective checklist in hand and a walkie-talkie connecting them to their ever-helpful Game Master, every clue and detail is accounted for. In this safe, supportive environment, kids learn valuable life skills while they navigate our captivating rooms, designed to engage their curious minds and foster a spirit of collaboration. And if a birthday is on the horizon, a KIDS MODE party is the perfect way to make their celebration even more memorable!

Q: Is Escapology good for kids?
Yes. The escape rooms at Escapology are built to be a fun, family friendly challenge, and Kids Mode adds an extra layer of support, including hands on Game Master guidance and a Detective Checklist, so younger players can dive in confidently alongside the rest of the group.
Q: Which escape rooms are best for kids?
We generally steer families toward Scooby-Doo™ and the Spooky Castle Adventure, Batman™: The Dark Knight Challenge, Lost City, Who Stole Mona, Antidote, and A Pirate's Curse for Kids Mode. These games tend to be a great fit for younger players. A few rooms, like Haunted House, 7 Deadly Sins, Narco, and Vegas Hangover, aren't featured as Kids Mode options because of their theme and content, though they can still be played with extra support if requested. Our team is happy to help you pick the right room based on your group's age and comfort level.
Q: Can kids play an escape room by themselves?
Players 14 and up can play without an adult in the room. For guests under 14, an adult or chaperone needs to be in the room with them, unless a venue leader has approved otherwise. Whenever minors are playing without an adult present in the room, someone 18 or older must stay on site for the full game.
Q: Are the puzzles modified for kids to solve?
No. Kids Mode isn't a simplified or separate version of the game. It's the same room, the same puzzles, and the same story. What changes is the support. Our Game Master steps in earlier, offers more guided clues, and provides a Detective Checklist so younger players can track their progress and stay engaged without giving the answers away. Some clues even have visual hints instead of text based hints.
Q: What's the minimum age to play?
There's no strict minimum age. Kids Mode is recommended for ages 7 to 13, since that's typically when players are ready to actively work through the puzzles with some extra guidance. Kids under 7 are welcome to join a family or party group, though they may be less involved in the actual puzzle solving.
Q: Can kids leave the room during the game?
Yes. An escape room isn't actually locked, and players are never trapped inside. Guests can step out at any point if needed, and our live Game Masters are watching the group throughout the game and ready to step in.
Q: Will my kids play with anyone else?
No. All of our rooms are private bookings, so your group won't be paired with strangers. It's just your family, friends, or party guests in the room together, with a Game Master supporting from outside.
